EDMC Plans Expansion in Southwestern Pennsylvania

Demonstrating a commitment to sustainable Growth, EDMC is expanding operations in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania to enhance company-wide information technology and corporate services capabilities, while bolstering our Online Higher Education division. Central to the initiative is a new Data Center aimed at enhancing the computing environment EDMC provides for students, faculty, and staff. This new facility, slated to fully open in 2011, will strengthen EDMC’s corporate technology and be tied with the existing data center, creating two active sites and a very highly available environment for business continuity of our most critical services. The overall southwestern Pennsylvania expansion is expected to generate approximately 600 new jobs over three years.
