Manager Foundation Solutions – Identity Management
This position is the team leader for Identity Management projects and support. This person will be responsible for directing the management of technology solution and business processes that simplify the the life cycle of digital identity management and the relationships of those identities with key EDMC systems, applications, and information.
This position will work closely with vendors, project managers, business stakeholders, and other IT delivery teams to oversee the design, development, and support of Identity Management systems and will lead the development of the strategy and vision of EDMC’s Identity Management direction. The candidate is expected to perform at a highly technical level, serving as subject matter expert for the Identity Management platform, while mainting a strategic focus for governance and process around the Identity Management solution.
KEY JOB ELEMENTS
1. Ensure that all of the following; EDMC philosophy, quality services to clients, development, growth, involvement and recognition of employees, sound economic principles, and an environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion are at the center of carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
2. Oversee design, development, and support of the Identity Management System initiative using Courion’s enterprise provisioning suite of products.
3. Work closely with business and technical leadership to prepare and document strategy and roadmap for Identity Management across EDMC, as well as, access management and SSO direction.
4. Participate in development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the development, implementation and use of Identity Management technology within the organization.
5. Ensure Identity Management System complies with security and auditing policies.
6. Manage staff and external consultants who develop and support Identity Management solution.
7. Recruit, evaluate, motivate and develop staff.
8. Manage and coordinate medium to large size projects that implement complex technical solutions.
9. Attend training as needed to develop relevant knowledge and skills and manage vendor relationships.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: VP, Business Systems
Works closely with: IT Service Desk personnel, IT Security team, other members of IT Department, and assigned employees along with leaders from the business
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
1. B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other equivalent field or work experience.
2. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in systems analysis, design and development.
Access/Account Mgmt, System Admin, Security (50%)
3. Extensive professional role with experience working on projects that span a broad range of systems and enterprise-wide complex components.
4. Experience with account provisioning processes and systems administration.
5. Practical knowledge and experience with enterprise-wide access management strategy and services and single-sign-on architectures.
6. Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, JavaScript, VBScript, Perl and/or SSIS and knowledge of web services and service oriented architecture design principles a plus.
7. Experience with Courion Enterprise Provisioning Suite a plus.
8. Experience developing and defining identity management governance structures and plans.
9. Understanding and experience with supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and supporting polices and hardware.
Business Process and Business Analysis (25%)
10. Experience and knowledge in applications such as Lawson, HRSmart, Hyperion, Siebel, Cognos and education-based systems such as CampusVue desired.
11. Experience leading business requirements gathering and translating those into system / application / workflow requirements.
12. Experience facilitating business process design as it relates to managing identities and access privileges.
Project Management/People Management/Relationship Management (25%)
13. Proven project management skills and experience in solution delivery.
14. Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills and strong written and verbal communication skills along with critical thinking ability
15. Highly motivated, success oriented, organized and strong work ethic.

ENVIRONMENT
This is a leadership position within the dynamic IT department at the EDMC corporate offices. The majority of direct customers served are within the business units located at the corporate office. The environment is faced paced and will challenge the candidate to meet the demands of an energetic, fast growing enterprise. The candidate will regularly meet with leaders and business partners to develop strategy and deliver on solutions to meet and improve the objectives set forth by corporate leaders. The environment requires excellent communication between partners, customer and management. In addition, the environment requires decisive collaboration between team members and business partners to drive to superior, long-term solutions.
