At EDMC, we’re just as committed to the professional success of our employees as we are to providing quality education for our students.
A good example of that commitment is our Executive Development Program. It’s designed to provide specific training opportunities to people within the company who have shown the potential to help lead our company forward in our mission of becoming the nation’s preeminent leader in higher education.
The EDP is part of our effort of continuous improvement through collaborative partnerships with all EDMC stakeholders. It’s a reflection of our culture and our core values of responsibility, participation, and personal and professional development.
EDMC’s Executive Development Program is the operations focus of our overall executive growth training initiative.
Participants: Executives-in-Training
Goal: Enhance operational leadership and effectiveness
Strategy: Develop a learning-centered environment through coursework and hands-on experience with mentors
Tactical implementation: Webinar training, face-to-face interactive learning, and practical experience
A key part of the EDP that is also available to all EDMC employees is the Leadership/Management Focus:
Participants: Executives-in-Training; newly appointed Executive Committee members; high potential leaders; current Executive Committee members
Goal: Extend the reach and consistency of leadership training at EDMC
Strategy: Integrate current executive leadership programs into a new format with the flexibility to meet individual content and scheduling requirements
Tactical Implementation: Deliver continuous and ongoing training opportunities; complement webinar training with face-to-face interaction
EDMC University
We recognize that each employee has specific and unique training needs. EDMC University provides development training programs and access to learning resources that will enable you to excel in your current role and your next role as well. The programs in EDMCU are built on progressive sequences that focus on personal effectiveness, personnel management, and developing organizational strategies.
